Carl's first solo release "Life Before Midi" was inspired by Wayne Krantz' "2 Drink Minimum" and his work with Robben Ford, The album was recorded in the spirit of artists getting together and not having to play within a preconceived box. Carl put together some killer cats and with no rehearsal, no midi programming, no click track - just 100% live jamming, they recorded the album.
